Theresa Cummings is an enthusiastic, creative, results-oriented leader with 28 years of experience in operations and professional development services, with a proven track record for driving performance and exceeding goals by leading and developing people at every level of an organization. Her background spans Training & Organizational Development, Facilitating, Coaching & Mentoring, Human Resource Management, Manufacturing Supervision, Project Management, and Quality Systems.
She began on the manufacturing floor at Fortune 100 Harley-Davidson Motor Company, where she led process-based initiatives that improved scrap, productivity, quality, and morale — and was selected as one of four Team Development Resources to implement High Performance Work Teams. Ranked in the top 5% of facilitators, she has completed over 6,500 hours of leadership training and facilitated more than 3,000 hours of management and leadership workshops. As HR Director of Training & Organizational Development at Simmons Bedding Company, she managed a $3M training budget across 22 facilities and helped lead Simmons — for the first time in its 100+ year history — onto Fortune's 100 Best Companies to Work For.
Theresa holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Carolina and an MBA from Webster University, and is a certified facilitator for High Performance Work Organizations through Dimensions Development International. In 2004 she founded Cummings Consulting & Management, partnering with organizations such as AT&T, Comcast, GE, Boeing, Honda, NASA, BMW, USDA, Georgia Tech, Synchrony Financial, and New York Life Insurance.
